A Technical Test Analyst is able to perform technical test analysis and execution on smaller to mid-sized V- model and hybrid (V-model – agile (SCRUM)) projects, assisted by a Senior Technical Test Analyst or a Principal Technical Test Analyst. This includes: identifying relevant test basis (descriptions of both non-functional requirements, e.g. classic requirements, user stories or bug fixes); reviewing test basis to ensure that requirements are of an acceptable quality and testable; participating in risk identification and assessment with a focus on technical risks; analyzing test basis and identifying technical test areas, such as security, reliability, performance, resource utilization, maintainability, and maintainability; selecting and applying appropriate structure-based (white box) test techniques, such as conditions testing, decision condition testing, and modified condition/decision coverage testing and derive test coverage items; applying static analysis and dynamic analysis performing architectural and code review selecting coverage items to write test cases for based on the risk assessment and the relevant acceptance criteria; writing detailed test cases for the selected coverage items, and assemble test cases in test procedures or test scripts; identifying necessary test data; preparing and controlling test data; leading selection and introduction of test tool(s); manage and maintain test environment(s); execution of test procedures and/or test scripts using appropriate tools; reporting any identified incidents (possible defects); providing estimates for own tasks.
