1. Transporting of a wide variety of items to different places as instructed in a safe and timely manner a. Assist In Loading and Unloading of items from vehicles b. Ensure availability of truck helper before departing to deliver materials c. Secure items to be delivered from pilferage d. Maintain ongoing communication with Main Warehouse Personnel and Project Site Personnel e. Review completeness and accurateness of delivered items with Warehouse personnel and site personnel to ensure delivered items meet their requirements f. Obtain signatures, delivery confirmation from project sites and make certain that all paper work are complete 2. Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and perform preventive maintenance a. Complete daily maintenance checks of vehicle and notify Supervisor/Manager of any vehicular issues b. Perform Vehicle and Equipment Checklist before departing to deliver materials or any other tasks assigned that will involve usage of vehicle c. Ensure that preventive maintenance are performed at appropriate time d. Ensure that Travelling Tool Kit is available, complete and stored in the vehicle before usage of vehicle e. Maintain cleanliness of delivery trucks 3. Plan and determine appropriate routes and meet delivery schedules 4. Ensure availability of all documents (Approved Delivery Note, Transfer Slip, etc) necessary in delivery a. Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts b. Make sure the delivery trucks have updated registrations and OR/CR 5. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures a. Observe road and traffic laws and regulations and guarantee that safe driving practices are adhered to maintain safe driving record b. Ensure that vehicle together with any company issued equipment and materials are protected c. Report any accidents/injuries to immediate Superior d. Maintain a positive attitude towards co-workers e. Comply with Company Policies (e.g. Alcohol must not be consumed or present whilst on duty, right conduct to superiors) 6. Assist in Warehouse duties during idle time 7. Perform other duties as assigned
